one of the latest financial scandals was the Folli Follie scandal. A very effective and succesfull, mainly familly owned, jewellery plc, which
was enlisted at the Athens Stock exchange, with big success even in Asia.The owners were considered as the supermen of Greek business . Capital was flooding in from allover the world and everyone was happy. However, a few years ago, investors found out that all of that was nothing but an expensive farse. The owners were beefing up any possitive aspect of the balance sheet and profit & loss statement (number of outlets, cash, stock, profits etc) so they could get cheap capital and heavy finance easily. Since then everything collapsed, most outlets were closed, including this one which display window is framed, employees were layed off, investors and banks are still trying to found out where the money is parked (in vain) but none of the managers and owners is jailed or even judged !The only restriction, imposed on them, so far, is that they can not travel abroad!!!!!!!!
