In order to boost the effectiveness of the NGOs, local rulers have altered Hellenic Infantry’s rules of engagement. In particular, servicemen of the Armed forces are trained and ought to offer their service to NGO’s activities and events. In this case, cadets of Infantry’s Reservist Officer School, while wearing their war face, are promoting the benefits of Blood donation. The event is organized by a local NGO and the blood donation occurs at the big white van shown at the far end of the frame. The next stage of their training will occur at their units where many of them will be nursing illegal emigrants, alongside well paid NGO-professionals, at the numerous refuge camps which spring up like mushrooms around the country.
